Nespresso the modern coffee maker
Home coffee machines are certainly nothing new, and were the staples of the dinner party culture of the 1970’s. In the 80’s however, with the advent of fast food and coffee bars, it was a lot easier to get your favourite coffee is a large cardboard cup than have the whole palaver that came with buying the beans, waiting for it to brew, adding milk or cream that made it cold, then cleaning it out to start all over again.
Today’s coffee machines, however, bring your favourite take away coffees right into your home. Whether you like an espresso, a skinny latte or a full fat Brazilian blend, the modern machines will deliver you this within minutes, and it tastes every bit as good as one you would buy outside.
The Nespresso is one of the very best, and offers a unique range of some of the best coffees in the world bar none. The 16 blends are an individual as their drinkers, and throw up some surprises too.
As part of their advertising campaign they have pulled off a major coup by getting Hollywood legend George Clooney to star in their advert, which certainly makes them more appealing aesthetically to female coffee fans.
The ad is short and to the point with a dash of humour and spoonful of chemistry. Two cases are mixed up at the airport, George has the female’s case, which includes Nespresso Volluto, and she has his, with his stash of Nespresso Decaffeinato Intenso.
After the mix up is reported they meet up to swap cases and she is clearly underwhelmed by who he is and tells him she thought he would be more of a Ristretto man, implying that this is a far more manly blend. She dismisses him with the words ‘goodnight Mr Decaffeinato’ and hands him back his silk sleep mask.
